Language Servers
This extension has four language servers: Verible, Veridian, slang-server, and svls. By default, only slang-server is enabled. To enable other language servers, add the following to your settings file:
"languages": {
"SystemVerilog": {
"language_servers": ["verible"] // replace with list of language servers to enable
}
}Configuration
Configuration for this extension is done in two places. First is by adding "SystemVerilog" your settings file and using the language settings.
Secondly, you can configure the veridian language server by creating a veridian.yml file in your project root and using the settings documented here.
Note
Since this extension doesn't use the verible language server through veridian, verible specific settings in
veridian.ymlwill not work.
Note
svls requires a
.svls.tomlfile at your project root to enable linting. Without it, the linter is silently disabled. To customize liniting rules, you will also need a.svlint.tomlfile. See the svls documentation for details.
